Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 September 2026

This policy explains what information TheIdleBreakout collects when you visit theidlebreakout.com, why we collect it, and what choices you have. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal jargon.

You do not need an account to use this site, and we do not sell personal information.

Who We Are

TheIdleBreakout is an independent fan website that lets you play Idle Breakout in your browser and publishes guides about the game. We are not affiliated with the game’s developer. The site is operated from Pakistan and is available worldwide.

Information You Give Us

The only place on this site where you can hand us information directly is the contact form. When you use it, we receive the name, email address, subject and message you type in. That message is emailed to us so we can reply.

We use this information only to answer you. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not pass it to anyone else.

Information Collected Automatically

Like nearly every website, our hosting provider records basic technical information each time a page is requested. This happens automatically and is standard practice for keeping a site running and secure.

  • Your IP address
  • Your browser type and version, and your operating system
  • The page you requested and the page you came from
  • The date and time of the request

This data is used to keep the site online, diagnose problems and detect abuse. We do not use it to try to identify you personally.

Your Game Saves

Idle Breakout stores your progress in your own browser, using local storage on your device. That save data never reaches our servers and we cannot see it, read it or recover it for you.

If you clear your browser data, use private browsing, or switch to another device or browser, your progress will not be there. Exporting a save code yourself is the only way to move a run between browsers.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. Similar technologies include web beacons, pixels, local storage and device identifiers. This site uses them in two ways.

  • Essential and functional. Needed for the site and the game to work properly, including storing your game progress and remembering basic display preferences.
  • Advertising. Placed by third-party advertising partners, as described in the next section.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking them will not stop you reading the site, but it may stop your game progress from being saved.

Advertising

We display advertising on this site to keep it free to use. Our advertising is served by Google AdSense and its partner networks.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or to other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
  • Third-party vendors and ad networks may place and read cookies on your browser, or use web beacons and similar identifiers, to collect information as a result of ad serving on this site.
  • This information may include your IP address, device and browser details, the pages you view, and approximate location.

We do not control these third-party cookies and we do not have access to the data those partners collect. Their handling of your information is governed by their own privacy policies, not by this one.

You can review how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

How to Opt Out of Personalized Ads

You can turn off personalized advertising at any time. Doing so does not remove ads, it only makes them less relevant to you.

Analytics

We may use analytics services to understand which pages are read and how people find the site. Analytics data is looked at in aggregate, as visitor counts and page totals, and is not used to build a profile of any individual visitor.

Who We Share Information With

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. Information is only handled by the parties that help us run the site.

  • Our hosting provider, which stores the site and keeps server logs.
  • Advertising partners, as described above.
  • Our email provider, which delivers messages sent through the contact form.
  • Legal authorities, if we are ever legally required to disclose information.

If You Are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland

If you are in one of these regions, you have rights over your personal data under the GDPR and equivalent laws. These include the right to access the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to certain processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

Where consent is required before personalized advertising cookies are set, you will be asked for it, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time. If you do not consent, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized.

If You Are in California

Under the CCPA and CPRA you have the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to request its deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Children should not submit anything through our contact form.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it. Parents who wish to limit advertising personalization for a child should use the browser and device controls linked above.

How Long We Keep Information

Server logs are kept for a short period by our host and then overwritten. Messages sent through the contact form are kept in our email account for as long as needed to deal with the matter, and deleted when no longer required. Game saves are never held by us at all, as they live only in your browser.

Security

This site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and we take reasonable steps to protect the small amount of information we handle. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Other Websites

Our pages sometimes link to other websites, and ads on this site lead to pages we do not run. This policy applies only to theidlebreakout.com. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any other site, and we would encourage you to read their policies before sharing information with them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the site changes or as the law requires. When we do, the revised version will appear on this page and the date at the top will be updated. Significant changes will be noted clearly rather than made quietly.

Contact Us

If you have a question about this policy, or want to exercise any of the rights described above, get in touch through our contact page and we will respond as soon as we can.
